Tips for new residents

Learn Spanish

Although tourist places speak English, knowledge of Spanish greatly facilitates daily life.

Spanish time

Spaniards eat late (lunch at 14-15, dinner at 21-22) and sleep in the afternoon (siesta). Adapt to the rhythm!

Get to know neighbors

Spaniards are very sociable. Don't be surprised if a neighbor invites you for coffee or tapas!

Local markets

Instead of supermarkets, visit local markets (mercado) - they are fresher and often cheaper.

Air conditioning

In summer the temperature can exceed 40°C. Invest in air conditioning - it's not a luxury, but a necessity!

Holidays

Spain has many public and local holidays. Check the calendar before planning visits!
